My Hummingbird Cafe

I went to the doctor on friday last week. I had a friend take me to the doctor because I was so weak I couldn’t walk from the bed to the bathroom, about 10 steps. The three people who tried to take my blood pressure couldn’t get a reading. Finally an old nurse got a reading of 110/70. They took tests and determined I had a respiratory infection and sent me home .

That evening, my husband took me to see local fireworks but I started to feel bad so we came back home. I got from the car about 5 steps and passed out in the garage. I couldn’t move for about 1/2 but finally we got me into the house and into bed. I was ill all night so finally, at 5AM my husband got out of bed and said I’m talking you to the hospital. He got me to the chair in the family room where I passed out again. There was no way he was getting me to the car so he called 911.

In the ambulance they could not get a blood pressure reading or any veins to get blood. They poked me everywhere and got nothing. The same thing happened at the hospital. After hours and lots of tests, the hospital decided I had bronchitis. They gave shot of anti-biotic and sent me home….where I promptly passed out a third time trying to
get to the rest room. That time, I woke up with my husband scared out of his mind and slapping me on both sides of my face saying, “Are you with me, are you with me, are you with me”? Can you believe they had actually sent me home with a BP of 70/40? The nurses were shocked.

Two men from the church came over and gave me a blessing as I lay there on the floor in the hallway, unable to even crawl. Brian was a retired EMT and so, when he said ”I don’t like how you look” I took it seriously. He told me husband to call an ambulance and have them take me right back to the hospital. He actually saved my life by telling my
husband to do that because I had blood clots in the lungs and legs. I am lucky to be alive.

IF I HAD BEEN UNDER OBAMA CARE, I WOULD HAVE DIED OR SUFFERED A STROKE FOR SURE BECAUSE THE ER DOCTOR HAD TO DIG DEEPER AND TAKE EXPENSIVE TESTS THAT INSURANCE COMPANIES MIGHT BULK AT NORMALLY TO FIND THE PROBLEM. WITHOUT THOSE TESTS THE NEXT TWO DAYS AND ADMITTING ME INTO THE HOSPITAL, THOSE CLOTS WOULD HAVE KILLED ME. SO I AM PROOF THAT OBAMA CARE IS A BAD IDEA! THE DOCTOR SAID THERE IS OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON AND I WILL DIG UNTIL I FIND IT.

Well, I came home from the hospital Sat night and I am doing well today. I now have joined the Coumadin crowd. Oh yea! I think of how close I came to dealth and how blessed I am to have survived. It sure makes us take a closer look at the blessings of life each day. My husband was an angel for sure.
